Luke Hersheson is a hard man to pin down but he took time out before heading off to New York for the shows to talk Vogue through the new range of Hersheson hair accessories. "My hair kit is five big cases, four of which are filled with hair pieces. I thought it was about time I shared some of them with our clients," he says. Not one to bring out a product as a knee-jerk reaction (Hershesons are one of the few established hair salons to have avoided the rush to launch an eponymous shampoo range), the accessories are well thought through, versatile, yet considered choices for anyone desiring a quick style update. Want a fringe but not ready to go for the chop yet? Try a "winge" (their word for it), from £30. Or a pony-tail but your hair's not quite thick enough? Choose a clip-in tail with wavy or straight ends from £69. Within seconds he knocked up a luscious-looking Bardot up-do for us - minus the hair-wrecking back-combing - thanks to the ingenious clips and webbing secreted away on the back of the hair-piece. If the ethically sourced human hair pieces don't appeal, try the synthetic versions, which unusually for synthetics can withstand heat from tongs and dryers. With natural looking colours blended to suit all hair shades as well as pop-out coloured Gaga-esque hair ribbons, from £23 the new website explains how to fix them in place, or better still, pop in to a Blow-Dry bar and get one of their specially trained stylists to do it for you.
